Not sure where to start?
You do not need to know what to call your difficulty. At the first consultation a psychologist will help you understand it and suggest next steps. You can also start with a short online screening test: the result is not a diagnosis, but it can make the conversation with a specialist easier.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know what my problem is before I come?
No. Many people come with a sense that something is not right, without a name for it. The first consultation is there to name and understand the difficulty together and to suggest next steps: sometimes psychotherapy, sometimes a few consultations, and sometimes contact with another specialist, such as a psychiatrist.
When should I see a psychologist?
When a difficulty has lasted for a few weeks or clearly gets in the way of sleep, work, studies or relationships. You do not have to wait until things get really bad. You do not need a referral for a visit.
Can I get help online?
Yes. Online consultations and psychotherapy take place by video call and are just as confidential as visits in the office. Some situations need an in-person meeting, for example certain assessments and help in an acute crisis.
What if I need help right now?
Our centre is not an emergency service. If your life or health, or someone else's, is in danger, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. Free crisis support is also available from helplines: 116 123 for adults, 116 111 for children and teenagers, and the support centre on 800 70 2222.
