Psychiatrist in Gdańsk – consultations through a collaboration

Sztuka Harmonii is a psychological centre – our day-to-day team is made up of psychologists and psychotherapists. To provide complete support, we offer psychiatric consultations in collaboration with a trusted psychiatrist. This means that in one place you can receive both psychological help and – when it is needed – psychiatric care.

If you are not sure whether you need a psychologist, a psychotherapist or a psychiatrist, book a free initial visit. Together we will assess your situation and suggest the right form of support – and if a psychiatric consultation is advisable, we will help you book it with the doctor we work with and coordinate the treatment with psychotherapy.

Psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist?

Three specialists, different competencies. We will help you choose the right path.

Psychologist

Diagnoses difficulties and provides support through conversation. Offers consultations, testing and crisis support. Does not prescribe medication.

Psychotherapist

Provides regular psychotherapy, working on the causes of difficulties and on lasting change. Does not prescribe medication.

Psychiatrist

A doctor – makes a medical diagnosis, can prescribe medication and manage pharmacotherapy. Available with us through a collaboration.

When is it worth consulting a psychiatrist?

  • Severe depression, apathy or thoughts that life is not worth living
  • Severe anxiety disorders and panic attacks that make it hard to function
  • Suspected bipolar disorder or psychotic symptoms
  • Chronic insomnia and sleep disorders
  • A situation in which psychotherapy alone proves insufficient and medication is worth considering
  • The need for a medical diagnosis and the choice of pharmacotherapy

If you recognise any of the above in yourself – get in touch with us. We will help you book a psychiatric consultation and suggest psychotherapeutic support alongside it.

Frequently asked questions

Psychiatrist Gdańsk – answers to the most important questions

Does Sztuka Harmonii have a psychiatrist?▼

Sztuka Harmonii is a psychological centre – our day-to-day team is made up of psychologists and psychotherapists. We offer psychiatric consultations in collaboration with a trusted psychiatrist. We will help you book an appointment and coordinate pharmacological treatment with psychotherapy provided by our team.

Psychologist, psychotherapist or psychiatrist – who should I see?▼

A psychologist and a psychotherapist help through conversation – they diagnose difficulties, provide therapy and offer support in a crisis, but they do not prescribe medication. A psychiatrist is a doctor: they can make a medical diagnosis, prescribe medication and manage pharmacotherapy. If you are not sure where to start, book a free initial visit – we will help you choose the right form of support.

When is a visit to a psychiatrist needed?▼

A psychiatric consultation may be advisable in cases of severe depression, thoughts that life is not worth living, severe anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, psychotic symptoms or insomnia, or when the psychological help received so far proves insufficient and pharmacotherapy is worth considering. If in doubt, get in touch with us – together we will assess what support will be best.

Does a psychiatrist prescribe medication?▼

Yes. A psychiatrist is a doctor and can prescribe medication and manage pharmacotherapy. A psychologist and a psychotherapist are not authorised to do this – which is why in many situations the best results come from combining psychiatric treatment with regular psychotherapy.

How do I book a psychiatric consultation in Gdańsk through Sztuka Harmonii?▼

Call 732 059 980 or write to us using the form. We will help you book a psychiatric consultation with the doctor we work with and – if you wish – suggest parallel psychotherapy with our team, so that all of your care is coherent.

Can I combine psychotherapy with psychiatric treatment?▼

Yes, and it is often the most effective solution. Pharmacological treatment provided by a psychiatrist can bring relief from symptoms, while psychotherapy helps to change patterns for good and to deal with the causes of difficulties. At Sztuka Harmonii we coordinate both forms of support.

How much does a psychiatric consultation cost?▼

The cost of a psychiatric consultation is set by the doctor we work with. Get in touch with us – we will pass on up-to-date information about availability and price and help you book an appointment. You will find the prices of our own psychological and psychotherapy services in the price list below.

Where do psychiatric consultations take place?▼

Depending on the doctor's availability, consultations take place in person in the Tricity or online via a secure video call. We provide psychotherapy with our team in our offices in Gdańsk (Morena, Wrzeszcz, Ujeścisko) and in Gdynia, as well as online.
