Psychotherapy in Gdynia – where to start?
People rarely end up at a psychotherapist's overnight. Usually it starts with a month of worse sleep, then a shorter fuse, less energy for things you used to enjoy, and a quiet voice in your head saying “other people have it worse anyway”. You don't need a diagnosis or a neat reason to come. It's enough that something is wearing you down – anxiety, low mood, burnout, loneliness in a relationship, or the feeling that you're stuck. Psychotherapy exists to name that and start untangling it.
We start by understanding what you're bringing, and only then choose the method – not the other way round. Our team includes psychologists and psychotherapists working in different approaches: cognitive behavioural (CBT), psychodynamic, integrative, ACT, SFBT, schema therapy and DBT. That means we can match both the approach and the right person to what you need. For some, working on thoughts and concrete techniques helps most; for others, it's understanding recurring patterns in relationships. We agree on the direction together.
A psychotherapy session lasts 50 minutes and usually takes place once a week or every two weeks. We see patients at our office in central Gdynia at 10 Lutego 7/103, on the first floor, a few minutes' walk from Gdynia Główna station and the trolleybus stops – easy to reach from Redłowo, Witomino or Chylonia, as well as from Rumia and Reda. If you prefer, we also run sessions online. The first step can be a free initial visit, where you'll meet the therapist with no obligation and see if it's the right place for you.
