Why Sztuka Harmonii?
Individual psychotherapy in Gdynia – what does it involve?
Individual psychotherapy is work that's only about you and only for you. It's an hour a week in which no one judges you, interrupts you, or gives you off-hand advice – and you can look closely at what you usually push aside for later. People come because they've been carrying something for a long time: anxiety, low mood, loneliness, recurring crises in relationships, the feeling that they're living someone else's life. You don't need to be “falling apart” to start. Sometimes the best moment is the one where, from the outside, everything looks fine.
At the heart of individual psychotherapy is the relationship with the therapist – safe, consistent and honest. It's within that relationship, week after week, that the patterns you repeat outside the office become visible. We choose the approach to match you and your goal: cognitive behavioural (CBT), when you want concrete tools for anxiety or habits; psychodynamic, when you want to understand the roots; as well as integrative, ACT, SFBT, schema therapy or DBT. We set goals at the start, check along the way whether we're heading in the right direction, and change course if needed.
A session lasts 50 minutes and follows a steady rhythm – most often once a week, sometimes every two weeks. Regularity matters, because it's what builds the process and lets the change take hold. We see patients at our office in central Gdynia at 10 Lutego 7/103, on the first floor, a few minutes from Gdynia Główna station, with easy access from Redłowo, Orłowo, Karwiny, as well as from Sopot and Rumia. We also run sessions online. Start with a free initial visit, where you'll meet the therapist with no obligation.
