Why Sztuka Harmonii?
What does individual psychotherapy in Gdańsk involve?
In individual psychotherapy the therapist's full attention belongs to you. It is a format for people who want to understand why they keep falling into the same patterns – choosing similar partners, suppressing anger, worrying endlessly or feeling that “something is wrong”, even though from the outside everything looks fine. You do not need a dramatic reason. All it takes is the wish to take a closer look at yourself in a safe, discreet relationship with someone who does not judge and is on your side.
The strength of individual therapy is a relationship that builds over time. The therapist gets to know your story, so the work becomes deeper and more accurate. We match the approach to you: CBT helps change specific thoughts and behaviours, the psychodynamic approach reaches the sources of difficulties, ACT teaches you to live in line with your values despite difficult emotions, and schema therapy works with entrenched patterns from childhood. At the start we agree together on what you want to work on.
Sessions last 50 minutes and take place regularly, most often weekly – that regularity is part of what makes it work. You can meet us in one of three offices in Gdańsk: in Wrzeszcz on Wajdeloty Street, in Ujeścisko-Łostowice on Bergiela Street or in Ujeścisko on Piekarnicza Street, and if you prefer, we run sessions online. We work privately, without the NFZ (Poland's National Health Fund) and without referrals, so you can book your first session quickly. Start with a free initial visit to meet the therapist with no commitment.
