Why Sztuka Harmonii?
Individual psychotherapy for Sopot residents
Sometimes it's hard to sum up in one word what's bringing you to us. Maybe anxiety has gripped your chest for months with no clear reason, maybe it's hard to get up in the morning, and things that used to bring joy now leave you indifferent. Sometimes everything looks fine from the outside – work, relationship, plans – yet you still feel empty or constantly tense. On top of that come thoughts like “others have it worse” and “I should be able to cope alone”. You don't have to. Psychotherapy is a place where you can finally break all of this down, calmly and without judgement.
Individual psychotherapy is regular, confidential one-to-one work with a therapist. We start by understanding what's brought you here and what you want to change, then choose the method to suit you, not the other way round. We work in several approaches – cognitive behavioural (CBT), psychodynamic, integrative, schema therapy, ACT and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT). In some matters what counts is changing specific thinking habits; in others, understanding where recurring patterns come from. The session lasts 50 minutes and usually takes place once a week.
We don't have an office in Sopot itself, but the journey is short and free of traffic. Our office in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz (Wajdeloty 28/202A) is right by Gdańsk Wrzeszcz SKM station, and our office in central Gdynia (10 Lutego 7/103) is a few steps from Gdynia Główna station. From Sopot you'll get there by train in a few to a dozen or so minutes, with no hunting for parking. If you'd rather stay at home, we run fully fledged sessions online. Start with a free initial visit (15-20 minutes), where you'll meet the therapist and see whether you feel comfortable – with no obligation at all.
