ADHD assessment for adults for Sopot residents
If you've heard since childhood that you “could try harder”, yet still miss deadlines, start five things at once and finish none of them, put off simple tasks for weeks and live with a sense of chronic backlog – that doesn't have to be about laziness or character. Many adults with ADHD spend years not knowing why ordinary “getting life together” costs them so much effort. Anxiety, low mood and burnout are often added on top, because undiagnosed ADHD takes its toll over the years. An assessment finally lets you understand yourself, instead of blaming yourself.
An ADHD assessment for adults is a process, not a single test. It usually involves 2-3 meetings of 50-90 minutes: a detailed interview about symptoms today and in childhood, standardised tools, and a discussion of the results. We use the structured DIVA 5.0 interview, the computerised MOXO test of attention and impulsivity, and the MMPI-2 personality questionnaire, which helps distinguish ADHD from other causes of similar difficulties. At the end you get clear feedback and a written opinion, along with concrete guidance on what to do next – from coping strategies to a possible psychiatric consultation.
We don't run an office in Sopot, but the journey for an assessment is short. Our office in Gdańsk Wrzeszcz (Wajdeloty 28/202A) is right by Gdańsk Wrzeszcz SKM station, and our office in central Gdynia (10 Lutego 7/103) is a few steps from Gdynia Główna station. From Sopot you'll get there by train in a few to a dozen or so minutes. Part of the assessment meetings, including the interview, can be carried out online. Start with a free initial visit (15-20 minutes), where you'll talk about your difficulties and we'll decide together whether an ADHD assessment is the right step for you.
