Couples workshops – communication and closeness

You don’t have to be in crisis to look after your relationship. The workshops are practice in talking, resolving conflict and building closeness – before small scratches turn into cracks.

Signing up is free and without obligation – we'll get in touch when the group starts to form.

What are couples workshops for?

Most couples seek help, on average, several years too late – when patterns of hurting each other are already deeply ingrained. Couples workshops turn that logic around: they are a form of prevention and relationship growth used by couples at every stage – from new couples, through parents of young children lost in logistics, to long-standing relationships that have grown quiet and distant.

At the workshops we practise the foundations of a healthy relationship, based on proven models of working with couples: how to talk about difficult subjects without escalating, how to argue so that conflict brings you closer instead of pushing you apart, how to express needs directly (instead of hoping your partner will guess), and how to look after closeness – emotional and physical – in the everyday rush.

The work takes place in a group of several couples, but each couple works mainly on its own relationship – nobody has to share intimate matters with the group. The presence of other couples normalises difficulties and shows that the patterns you fall into are universal. The workshops do not replace couples therapy in a deep crisis – if that is where you are, we will recommend couples therapy, which we also offer.

Who is this group for?

  • couples who want to improve their communication before a crisis arises
  • couples who are parents and whose relationship has become mostly about “running the household”
  • long-term couples who have drifted apart
  • couples before their wedding or a big decision (moving in together, having a child)
  • couples after a difficult period who want to rebuild closeness

What will you gain?

  • talking about difficult subjects without escalation or days of silent treatment
  • arguing constructively – conflict that brings you closer
  • expressing needs and expectations directly
  • rebuilding emotional and physical closeness
  • a shared language for talking about your relationship for years to come

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most important questions

Will we have to talk about our relationship in front of other couples?

No. You do the exercises mainly as a pair, and you share with the group only what you want to. The presence of other couples helps normalise things (“they have this too!”) and lets you learn from other people’s examples – it is not a public confession.

My partner is sceptical. How can I convince them?

Scepticism on one side is normal, not an obstacle. Framing helps: this is a skills workshop (like a training course), not “therapy for broken relationships”. You can also start with a free initial conversation together – no strings attached, simply to see whether this format suits you.

Workshops or couples therapy – which should we choose?

The workshops are for couples who want to strengthen and develop a relationship that basically works. Couples therapy is for an acute crisis: infidelity, long-running conflict, the decision “whether to stay together at all”. During the initial conversation we will tell you honestly which format is right for you.
