Social skills training (TUS) for teenagers

A group for teenagers who want to feel more confident among their peers – no judgement, just practical skills: conversation, boundaries, stress, criticism, public speaking.

Signing up is free and without obligation – we'll get in touch when the group starts to form.

TUS for teenagers – what is it all about?

The teenage years are when relationships with peers become the most important – and at the same time the hardest. TUS for teenagers means weekly meetings in a small group where teenagers practise real situations: how to start a conversation, how to say no without feeling guilty, how to take criticism, how to handle peer pressure and stress before a test or a presentation.

We work in a workshop style – through role-play, discussion and experience, not lectures. The group offers something no individual therapy can: the chance to practise skills with real peers and to hear friendly feedback from them.

The groups are run by psychologists who work with young people every day. Before joining, we invite the teenager and a parent to a free initial conversation – we check whether the group meets their current needs.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most important questions

My child doesn’t want “therapy”. Is TUS therapy?

TUS is skills training, not psychotherapy – it is closer to a workshop than to a therapist’s office. Many teenagers find this format easier to accept: they come to practise specific things that are useful at school and in relationships, not to “get treated”.

What if my teenager doesn’t want to speak in the group?

This is a common worry, and nobody is forced to do anything. The facilitators make sure each participant joins in at their own pace – often the people who are quietest at the start get the most out of the group. A safe atmosphere is the foundation of these sessions.

How is TUS for teenagers different from sociotherapy?

TUS focuses on training specific social skills according to a structured programme. Sociotherapy is a broader form of group support in which the relationship with the group itself and corrective emotional experiences play a bigger role. During the initial conversation we will advise you which format will work better.
