Addiction therapist

We are looking for an addiction therapy specialist with a PARPA certificate or currently in training.

About the position

We are looking for an addiction therapist (with a PARPA certificate or working towards certification) to run consultations and therapy for people with behavioural addictions and addictions to psychoactive substances. We offer the opportunity to work with individual patients and with couples.

from 100 PLN per appointment

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and treating substance and behavioural addictions
  • Running individual consultations and therapy sessions
  • Working with the families of people with addictions (codependency)
  • Psychoeducation and relapse prevention
  • Working with the team's psychiatrist and psychotherapists
  • Keeping clinical records

Requirements

  • An addiction therapy specialist certificate (PARPA) or advanced training
  • Experience working with people with addictions (at least 2 years)
  • Knowledge of methods for working with addictions (SFBT, MI, CBT)
  • Empathy and the ability to build a therapeutic relationship
  • Regular supervision

Nice to have

  • Experience with behavioural addictions (gambling, internet, gaming)
  • Training in working with couples (codependency)
  • Experience running therapy groups
  • Training in motivational interviewing (MI)
  • Knowledge of 12-step programmes
