We are looking for a psychotherapist working through theoretical integration – deliberately combining modalities into a coherent clinical working model.

About the position

We are looking for a psychotherapist working through theoretical integration, who consciously and on theoretically justified grounds combines elements of different psychotherapeutic modalities into a coherent working model. This integrative approach differs from eclecticism through a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of change and a coherent case conceptualisation.

Responsibilities

  • Providing integrative psychotherapy based on a coherent theoretical model
  • Deliberately combining interventions from different modalities (CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic, systemic)
  • Case conceptualisation that takes into account the different levels of the patient's functioning
  • Working with a wide range of psychological disorders and difficulties
  • Keeping clinical records
  • Taking part in supervision

Requirements

  • Completed psychotherapy training in the integrative (theoretical-integration) modality
  • Experience running therapeutic processes (min. 2 years)
  • In-depth knowledge of at least two therapeutic modalities
  • Ability to build a coherent multi-model case conceptualisation
  • Regular supervision

Nice to have

  • Training at a recognised integrative institute (e.g. Laboratorium Psychoedukacji, SWPS)
  • Experience with personality disorders
  • Training in schema therapy or EFT as a complement
  • Knowledge of English
