We are looking for a psycho-oncologist to work with cancer patients and their families.

About the position

We are looking for a psychologist with experience in psycho-oncology – working with people during and after cancer treatment, as well as with their loved ones. We offer the chance to build this specialisation within our centre.

Salary

from 100 PLN per appointment

Gdańsk (Piekarnicza, Wajdeloty, Bergiela) / Gdynia (10 Lutego)

Responsibilities

  • Providing psychological support to cancer patients and their families
  • Working on acceptance of the diagnosis and coping with fear
  • Helping patients cope with the effects of treatment (chemotherapy, radiotherapy)
  • Providing support with grief and loss
  • Psychoeducation for patients and their loved ones
  • Working with the medical team and psychologists

Requirements

  • A university degree in psychology (master's degree)
  • Training or courses in psycho-oncology
  • Experience working with patients facing a health crisis
  • Strong empathy and emotional resilience
  • Ability to work with themes of loss and grief

Nice to have

  • A psycho-oncologist certificate
  • Experience working at an oncology facility
  • Training in ACT or mindfulness-based therapy
  • Experience running support groups
  • Experience working with a medical team
