Student placement – psychology
A placement for psychology students (4th-5th year) at a working psychology centre – real contact with clinical work, not making coffee.
About the position
The Psychological Centre Sztuka Harmonii takes psychology students on student placements (both compulsory and voluntary). We offer placements where you can really see how a private psychology practice works: from organising work with patients, through assessment, to psychoeducation and group sessions. We take care of the formalities with your university (the placement agreement, the placement logbook and a placement supervisor on the centre's side).

Responsibilities
- Taking part in assessment work under a psychologist's supervision (scoring and writing up test results)
- Helping to create psychoeducational materials (articles, materials for patients, social media)
- Helping to organise group sessions and workshops (including TUS social skills training for children)
- Taking part in team peer supervision (intervision) and professional meetings
- Getting to know how a practice is run: booking, records, ethical standards and GDPR
Requirements
- Being a psychology student (4th-5th year or master's studies preferred)
- Commitment and responsibility – the placement requires regular attendance
- Discretion and an understanding of the rules of professional confidentiality
- Working independently on written and organisational tasks
Nice to have
- An interest in psychological assessment or in working with children and young people
- Completed psychology courses or volunteering
- A way with words – a willingness to help create psychoeducational content
- Knowledge of English or Ukrainian

Frequently asked questions
Does the placement include sitting in on therapy sessions?
No – professional confidentiality and the patient's wellbeing limit the presence of third parties in sessions. The placement focuses on assessment, psychoeducation, group sessions and the organisation of clinical work, and you learn about what happens ‘in the therapy room’ through peer supervision and case discussions in the team (in anonymised form).
Do you offer compulsory placements for my university?
Yes – we sign an agreement with your university, appoint a placement supervisor and fill in the placement logbook and certificates in line with the requirements of your course. In your application, tell us how many placement hours you need and when.
Is there a chance of working with you after the placement?
Yes. We also see placements as a way of getting to know future colleagues – to those who stand out, we offer continued cooperation once they have their master's degree (for example in assessment, TUS social skills training or their own projects).
