We are looking for a special needs educator to work with children with disabilities and special needs.

About the position

We are looking for a special needs educator to work with children with special educational needs – intellectual disability, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and other learning difficulties. Collaboration with a team of child psychologists and speech and language therapists.

from 100 PLN per appointment

Flexible – afternoons + weekends

Gdańsk (Piekarnicza, Wajdeloty, Bergiela) / Gdynia (10 Lutego)

Responsibilities

  • Educational therapy for children with learning difficulties (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia)
  • Working with children with intellectual disabilities
  • Educational assessment and developing therapy programmes
  • Supporting children with a formal statement of special educational needs
  • Consultations with parents and teachers
  • Keeping therapy records

Requirements

  • A university degree – special education or a related field
  • Experience working with children with special needs
  • Knowledge of educational therapy methods
  • Empathy, patience and creativity

Nice to have

  • Qualifications in teaching children with intellectual disabilities
  • Experience in hand therapy
  • Training in sensory integration
  • Experience working with children with ASD
  • Experience at a psychological and educational counselling centre
