We are looking for a speech and language therapist to assess and treat speech disorders in children and adults.

About the position

We are looking for a speech and language therapist (or a neurological speech and language therapist) to assess and treat speech, articulation and communication disorders. The work is mainly with children, but also with adult patients after strokes or with aphasia or stammering.

from 100 PLN per appointment

Gdańsk (Piekarnicza, Wajdeloty, Bergiela) / Gdynia (10 Lutego)

Responsibilities

  • Speech and language assessment of children and adults
  • Therapy for articulation disorders, delayed speech development and stammering
  • Neurological speech and language therapy (aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia)
  • Consultations with parents on stimulating speech development
  • Working with child psychologists and educators
  • Keeping therapy records

Requirements

  • A university degree – speech and language therapy or neurological speech and language therapy
  • Clinical experience working with children
  • Knowledge of speech and language assessment and therapy methods
  • Patience, creativity and the ability to work with children

Nice to have

  • A specialisation in neurological speech and language therapy
  • Experience working with children with ASD and ADHD
  • Training in myofunctional therapy
  • Experience in stammering therapy for adults
  • Training in AAC (alternative communication)
